David M Pratt, Phd
Dr. Dave Pratt is a professor, researcher, presenter, and consultant who specializes in the areas of technology integration, assessment, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and educational psychology. With over 30 years of experience in grades ranging from Pre-K to University level, he has become a passionate expert in helping teachers make a difference in their students' lives. He strives to equip educators to become more effective and efficient in teaching, use data to inform their teaching, and build positive and impactful relationships.

In his over 20 years teaching at PNW, Dr. Pratt has won several awards, including the Teaching Incentive Portfolio in 2017 and the Outstanding Teacher Award in 2018. He also serves as a peer coach for faculty through Purdue Northwest’s Center for Faculty Excellence.
Publishing & Presenting
Dr. Pratt's research and presentation areas include technology, assessment, and psychological topics such as Mindset, SEL, and Attention. He has published and co-published several journal articles and book chapters and made numerous presentations across the country.
Grant Work & Evaluation
He has received and worked on several major grants including those from the National Science Foundation and National Security Administration.
Corporate & Non-Profit Consultation
Dr. Pratt is sought out as a consultant to evaluate grants and boilster professional development for a variety of non-profit organizations including United Way and Junior Achievement. He has also served several corporations in creating interactive online modules for use in employee training.
Workshops & Day Camps
Dr. Pratt frequently partners with local Elementary schools in the area to conduct workshops for teachers. Each summer he also leads a youth S.T.E.M. day camp hosted at P.N.W.

Community Involvement
Along with his wife Deb (also an educator), Dr. Pratt is an active member of various organizations in his local community. He serves as a school board member, summer camp director, and church worship-leader. He loves music and plays the keyboard in several local bands. He is the proud "Grampy" to three grandchildren.
